Emotional counseling, marriage counseling, grief counseling, addiction counseling, family or work relationship counseling, career planning, personal growth, spiritual and religious issues, and health-related issues. Mental health issues include depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Buddhist Counseling combines Buddhist Dharma wisdom and professional counseling techniques to help people resolve their worries and pains.
Personal introduction
Mr. Chong is one of the first batch of graduate of the “Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice of Buddhist Counselling " programme from the School of Professional and Continuing Education of the University of Hong Kong, and is an Enrolled Professional Buddhist Counsellor of the Hong Kong Buddhist Association. He is now providing professional Buddhist counseling services in a Buddhist organization. Mr. Chong is also a Tai Chi teacher with extensive experience in teaching how to connect body and mind.
With more than 20 years of experience in organisational management, Mr. Chong has considerable experience in interpersonal relationships at work, he also has experienced the pain of bereavement (including relatives and pets), thus he is determined to walk with people who are facing these difficulties through professional Buddhist counseling, assists them to overcome their troubles, and find new hope and direction together.
Mr. Chong's counselling experience has made him believe that deep empathy is essential, so as to sincerely accompany each people through his or her journey, through attentive listening and full acceptance, assists them to understand the current situation, gain insight into their own emotions, reflection on the current situation, and discover the causes, so as to make them more aware of themselves and find a positive direction that suits them.
